COVID-19 Impact Update
Dear Customer and Suppliers
The COVID-19 global crisis is affecting us all. Whilst we are all navigating unprecedented times, we wanted to let you know we are prioritising the safety of our staff and customers, ensuring we are following the government guidance as it evolves.
Our Head Office and Depots remain open to our customers and our teams are ready to help you, we will continue to trade as long as UK Government advice allows.
We do carry a substantial amount of stock and see no issues with stock for the foreseeable future.
Our deliveries to our customers will continue as normal.
Visitors to the Dafen Site/Depots
Much as we enjoy visitors to our premises, we are limiting visits to those who are considered business critical. If you are due to visit our depots, we politely request that you ring the depot first, please do not turn up unannounced. All visitors other than drivers should report to reception.
Deliveries from Suppliers
Standard deliveries to our works will continue as normal and drivers should report to the weighbridge and remain in their vehicle until seen by a member of staff, we respectfully request that you do not send delivery drivers to us if any of the following relate to them:
- If they have a cough, fever, shortness of breath or breathing difficulties
- Have been in contact with a confirmed/ suspected individual with coronavirus
All of our staff have been issued with guidance on preventing the spread of the virus, the possible symptoms as well as the requirement to self-isolate. We have placed restrictions on business meetings and events.
If further measures become necessary, we will not hesitate to implement to protect our staff and our customers. We are paying close attention to developments and revising our plans as we get new information and advice from the Government and World Health Organisation.
As things stand all our major steels suppliers are fully operational. We will provide an update if anything changes.
